THE PROJECT
Hudson’s Treasures is a retailer of overstock and closeout items in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. At their store, you can find leading private label and brand name merchandise at 30-90% off. Most of Hudson’s Treasures’ merchandise comes from distressed situations, including insurance salvage claims, bankruptcies, closeouts, liquidations, overruns and end of season goods. They buy inventories from national and international manufacturers, distributors and retailers at a fraction of their regular cost.
When Hudson’s Treasures was looking for systems furniture for their newly remodeling office space, they were impressed with the AIS Matrix product after visiting a showroom in Dallas, Texas, where they could see the quality of the product first hand. When compared to Global’s Evolve product, AIS Matrix pulled through with product strength, its ability to incorporate different design elements, and its overall flexibility. Additionally, Hudson’s found that their dealer support, the lead-time offered, and the price point gave them
good reasons to choose AIS.
Throughout their space, which is primarily used by buyers assistants, Hudson’s selected tiles that were made in various materials, such as fabric, glass, and embossed steel, allowing them to bring out specific architectural elements. Low frames and glass tiles were used to create a very open environment. Lateral files were placed in niches around the office, supported a common worksurface top.
