Leominster, MA – April 2, 2020 – AIS, a leading manufacturer of commercial office furniture and seating, has launched a CET Designer Extension for dealers.
“We’re excited to offer this technology. CET Designer can help everyone who specifies and designs with AIS products. The process will be faster, more accurate and highly visual,” AIS Chief Technology Officer Aaron Onidi said.
Made by Configura, CET Designer is intelligent space-planning software that simplifies the specifying and selling of products in a variety of industries, including contract furniture. The software can be customized with Extensions that include manufacturers’ products.
AIS launched its new CET Designer Extension with its Matrix™ panel system products; Day-to-Day™ tables; and Universal worksurfaces, supports and storage products. AIS plans to add more products and product lines in the coming months.
Now used by thousands globally, CET Designer helps manufacturers and their distributors by providing a single software solution for space planning and product ordering. The software enables 2D and 3D design, a project collaboration tool, photorealistic renderings, fly-thru videos, virtual and augmented reality experiences, instant pricing, parts lists and installation documents.
“When designers and specifiers learn and use CET Designer, it helps to reduce errors, improve workflow, generate photorealistic renderings and much more,” Onidi said.
AIS worked with Configura Implementation Partner PlatinumEdge Solutions to program the Extension.
Configura Implementation Partners that offer CET Designer training, IT / computer readiness assessments and other services related to adopting CET Designer are available to dealerships, as are AIS- and Configura-provided training opportunities. Dealerships can learn more about all services and opportunities by visiting AIS’s website where a landing page specific to AIS’s CET Designer Extension has been created: https://www.ais-inc.com/resources/design-resources.
AIS’s CET Designer Extension is free through Dec. 31, 2020, and can be downloaded via Configura’s Marketplace. To access the software, visit the AIS link above, which will direct users to the Marketplace.

About CET Designer
Based on technology created by Configura, CET Designer is intelligent, highly visual and intuitive space-planning software that simplifies specifying and selling of products in a variety of industries. It’s a complete solution that quickly and accurately handles every step of the sales and order process. In CET Designer, components that represent manufacturers’ products look and behave like actual products. Users drag and drop components into 2D and 3D virtual environments; behind the scenes, the software tracks components, calculates pricing and prevents user errors. Users can create and generate layouts, quotes, photorealistic renderings, movies, installation drawings, reconfigurations and bills of materials – in other words, everything needed to propose on work and place orders. CET Designer is the future of space planning.
