AIS Announces the Promotion of Deanna Zarrella to Vice President of Human Resources

Leominster, MA – June 11, 2021 – AIS, a leading manufacturer of commercial office furniture and seating, is pleased to announce the promotion of Deanna Zarrella to vice president of human resources.

As a member of the company’s executive leadership team, Zarrella will focus on expanding recruiting, training, and employee engagement efforts as well as organizational effectiveness and leadership development of top talent. Zarrella joined AIS in April 2018 as senior human resources director.   

“From navigating the evolving workplace during the pandemic, to implementing training processes and procedures, Deanna has gone above and beyond our expectations,” said AIS President and CEO Bruce Platzman. “Her thoughtful and strategic approach to workplace challenges caused by the pandemic played a huge role in the company’s success in 2020 and will continue to help propel AIS as a leader in the industry,” said Platzman.

Zarrella has nearly 30 years of human resources experience with a specialization in talent management, including workforce planning, recruiting, training, performance management, employee development and employee management. She also has significant experience managing employee relations, benefits, compensation, and compliance issues. Before coming to AIS, Zarrella worked at F&M Tool and Plastics, Inc. as director of human resources. Previously, she was the director of human resources for Catania Spagna.

With a Master of Business Administration from Nichols College and a Bachelor of Administration in accounting from Anna Maria College, Zarrella is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA) and the Tri-State HRMA.
