Plainville Town Hall houses centralized services to its citizens from publics works, permitting, zoning and development, and parks and recreation, to resources for conservation and environmental protection. As a supporter of its local community and the New England region, it was important to the board to utilize an office furniture solution company that was locally sourced. The township staff provides a high number of services at a fast pace and has a high volume of documents that need to be stored. In the new space, it was key to have effective, efficient furniture that could support this pace with an aesthetic that was unified. Another key contributing factor in the project was providing a variety of furniture that could support individual workers, board and staff meetings, and an environment that the community could be proud of when hosting its residents.
AIS was chosen because it could deliver product quickly as a local supplier and provide solutions for the entire building, in addition to the Fire Station. Matrix with its flexible work spaces and sophisticated design was paired with Calibrate to support the shifting needs of workers throughout their work days. Day-to-Day tables with casters were installed in the training room to support collaboration and be quick to change to different departmental needs. Natick and Stow seating were chosen to comfortably support worker productivity in individual workspaces as well as in the training room.
